How to Become a Member of PHONE
The Pharaoh Hound Owners of the NorthEast Club is open to anyone with an interest in Pharaoh Hounds who is in good standing with the American Kennel Club (meaning that the person isn't on probation/suspended from the AKC). PHONE seeks those interested in furthering the objectives and purposes of PHONE.
To join PHONE, follow these simple steps:
1. Attend a PHONE meeting or event or email any club officer for a membership application. Our next meeting or event is posted on our website under “Events this year” or "Upcoming Event".
2. Along with your membership application, you'll need to submit your membership dues for the current (or next year, if you are applying after September in the year).
a. Individual Membership = $15
A Full Member entitled to voting privileges and may hold office. Individual must reside within in the club’s geographical region. Each individual is
required to attend at least one meeting and one event before membership application is voted upon at a club meeting.
b. Family Membership = $20
A Family Membership includes two adults residing in the same residence and any number of children (9-17 yrs) also in that residence. Each adult is
entitled to all club privileges including the right to vote and hold office. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to vote or hold office. The family
must reside within the club’s geographical region. Each adult is required to attend 1 meeting and work one event before membership application is
voted upon at a club meeting.
c. Associate Membership = $10
An Associate Member cannot vote or hold office, but they may serve on committees and are eligible for all other membership benefits (attending
events, discounts, email notices, etc.). Requested to attend at least one meeting or work at one event before membership is voted upon at a club
meeting. This membership type is for:
i. Individuals who live outside of the club’s area or
ii. Individuals who live in the club’s area but are not active within the club or who do not own a Pharaoh Hound or
iii. Individuals under 18 years of age that are not part of a family membership.
3. After submitting your application and dues, your application will be read at the next club meeting.
4. Following the reading and with all requirements met, there will be a vote of the current Full Members (excludes associate members) present at the meeting.
